At Training Tech Solutions, we have 6 wired learning labs where you can complete your own projects, try out software and tools, and learn practical techniques first-hand. Each lab contains hands-on sessions relating to a particular topic or e-learning trend.
Rapid Content Development
Building e-learning requires first-hand knowledge of the right authoring tools. Bring in a project and we'll help you decide which tool you should use in the Rapid Content Development Lab.
Concurrent session topics in this lab include rapid authoring tools, working with learning objects, collaborative authoring, team development of learning content, and more.
Blended Learning
Putting the classroom back into your e-learning courses can be just what you need to keep learners engaged. Add in mobile delivery and workflow learning, and your course becomes better than the sum of its parts.
In the Blended Learning Lab, you'll learn about designing the optimal blend, delivering the same content in multiple formats, the role of mobile learning, managing on-the-job training through an LMS, and more.
Web 2.0 and Informal Learning
To do great things online, you don’t have to be an IT wizard. These days, the World Wide Web is built by you. Building a network, joining discussions, even writing an encyclopedia – when you and your peers shape the Internet, the Internet becomes a more powerful tool for learning.
In the Web 2.0/Informal Learning Lab, learn about social networking, wikis and blogs, capturing and retaining expert knowledge, informal learning, and more.
Advanced Interactivity
Everybody knows learning by doing works. But what if you can't be there in person? Simulations and serious games let learners practice the impossible. See the best and learn how to build your own in the Advanced Interactivity Lab.
This lab will include concurrent sessions on serious games, creating software simulations, virtual role play experiences, simulating procedures and physical devices, 3-D avatar-mediated virtual environments, and more.
Learning Infrastructure
Buying an LMS can be a daunting process. Learning to use it can be even harder. Join the Learning Infrastructure lab and we'll help you choose LMSs and LCMSs, test drive them, and learn how to apply the power of learning content management to your training program at the office.
Session topics in this lab include optimizing your LMS environment; assessment and testing methods, tools, and strategies; enterprise LMS considerations; advance reporting; and more.
Train-the-Trainer/Developer
No more overviews. The Train-the-Trainer/Developer Lab is where beginners become advanced, with skill-building, project-based, practical sessions.
Topics covered in this lab include designing for virtual classrooms, building templates that SMEs can use to contribute to development, basic development and tools for the new developer, Flash and other advanced authoring tools, and more.
